Philbin pointed out Josh Samuda "has been working his tail off," but the former Hollywood Hills standout is nursing a hand injury suffered in Friday night's win..

John Jerry, the starting right guard for two of the past three season, had his left knee scoped, and is approximately two weeks from returning to practice.

Then there's Lance Louis, a free agent addition, who is working his way back from a ACL injury he suffered in late November. Louis has been doing 11-on-11 work the past week, but hasn't been medically cleared to play in a game. ...

DE Olivier Vernon tried to initiate a fight with OT Will Yeatman, even throwing a punch. Yeatman patted Miami's starting DE on the backside and kept moving…

Who's Down?

Lance Louis, Dallas Thomas, Tyson Clabo all struggled during one-on-one blocking against the Dolphins defensive linemen. Their issues served as a metaphor for the pass protection problems the team has had in the first two practices. ...

Quote of the Day

"We want a complete player back there. I'm not a big believer in a third down back. I think you tip your hand that way," offensive coordinator Mike Sherman said. ... 7981.story
