After more than a decade of losing, the Dolphins have the fourth-least engaged fans in the NFL, according to TicketCity’s study of the most engaged NFL fan bases.

4th is generous. I hear they are considering to have a day to honor the Heat. That will at least get some butts in the seats ... until the start of the 3rd quarter.

Ticket City? Andrew Abramson? Who? Is anyone engaging them?

So if you have a TE that kilss people for fun or an Olineman that gets drunk and kills a teammate your team is popular because you get internet hits?

Every Dolphins road game is loaded with fans more so than most teams imo

OK so it don't matter if you win or not......If you have a soap opera team on the internet some how you have better fans according to this research...And for the record the Patriots have had the best of everything and home field advantage for years and haven't won a SB
They are underachievers

Nope, we are bad fans just face it.
It has nothing to do with anything else, not statistical data proving that more people move here from the north than anywhere else in the world, not that the population is probably 75% from somewhere else, none of that..

Just bad fans... And I see all my other fellow bad fans in a week at the first preseason home game, rooting for our bad team at our bad stadium...

Just join in the lumping together, we are all bad fans, almost the worst in existence...

Interesting stat: 600,000 New Yorkers relocated to Florida between 2000 - 2010... How many you think embraced the home team?

Since 2000, the Dallas Cowboys only have one more win than the Dolphins. So wins don't have much to do with it.

The point of my post was that exaggerating circumstances to say that because of their team members that have both been linked to murders is why they're popular is absolutely absurd.

But it could be the reason they are #1.....The study is based on hits on the web..

The Patriots are 15th in attendance the Steelers 25th .....Thta's the Best fan base?

Steelers are 25th because of the stadium size. It's only 63-65K. Change the rankings to occupancy percentage, and Steelers should be close to the top, because nobody has ever been able to buy game-day tickets after May from the box office.

Take into consideration that the south beach fan base is diluted during the winter because of all the Snow Birds. Then you add Stadium size to the equation.
I've attended a Miami game in MINNESOTA, and I was astonished at what a strong fan base we had there. There were Phins jerseys everywhere. I was blown away because I thought I would be in a thin minority. The phins fans were louder than the Vikings fans..... of course we won that game is why.

Ya'll just need to move down and buy season tickets, that will help more than debating it on an internet site

I've been thinking about it for years. May have to take the plunge and actually do it here soon.

I say put our cheerleaders on one end, the opposing on the other. Put a football at midfield and have them race to get it. The squad that gets the football back to the other's side wins. The losing squad has to immediately strip and cheer naked for the entire first quarter. Its either that or win games.

It's taken 5 coaches to undo what Don Shula spent a career to build. I can't tell you how many fans I've ran into that became Dolphin fans because of Dan Marino.

The media is joke when it comes to stuff like this.....I have been to Patriot games many times when there were more Dolphin fans in the stands....Went to a Redskin Patsie game and there was like 500 fans in the stadium..Place was empty....

It's all about winning and when you see a team that is winning 25th in attendence it reminds you . Those are the same people that don't root for the Pirates
