For Miami Dolphins fans who complain that their team isn't getting enough respect, look no further than ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski. He is among the few national analysts who predict the Dolphins will overtake the New England Patriots this year and win the AFC East division.

Jaworski recently posted his season prediction on ESPN.com, which is sure to raise a few eyebrows. Miami hasn’t won the AFC East since 2008, which is the year Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was lost for the season with a knee injury.

“Sooner or later, someone will overtake the Patriots, and I saw a much-improved team last season under coach Joe Philbin,” Jaworski explains. “Offensive coordinator Mike Sherman has done a great job bringing along Ryan Tannehill, and now Mike Wallace gives him a big, downfield weapon. If Dion Jordan evolves as expected, he and Cameron Wake will be nightmares for QBs.”

Nearly every move Miami made this offseason had something to do with closing the gap with New England. However, the gap was so wide to begin with -- a five-game difference in 2012 -- most feel the Dolphins aren't quite there yet. For the record, I picked Miami to finish second in the AFC East this year behind New England.

But anything can happen in the NFL, and this is why they play the games. The Dolphins have a lot of talent on paper and need to come together quickly.

Miami has a brutal first five games against the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens. We will find out quickly if the Dolphins are contenders or pretenders.

Jaworski picks the Dolphins alot. But I agree with him. We are the team to beat. Cant wait to play Denver in the AFC championship game.

It's tough to go against the Pats winning the AFC East for the 10th time in 11 years. The one time they missed winning was 2008, when Brady was out for the season............even in that year they went 11-5.

However, if you look at it on paper...............the Phins should have the edge this year........... Arguably, Brady's the best QB in the league and his O-line is excellent in pass blocking, but as far as player personnel, the Phins are better in all other areas.

We're going to need to get out to a good start to have a chance............that's why this weekend's game is so big. If we were to lose to the Browns, it's tough to see us pulling it together in the next 4 games against Indy, Atlanta, New Orleans and the Ravens. If we make it to 3-2 or better in the first five.........we'll be a real threat to challenge for the Division.
