There was a graphic on one of the many football shows on one of the many sports networks Monday morning that read “Young Guns” and listed 12 quarterbacks in their first, second or third years with their respective 2013 records.

Andrew Luck. Robert Griffin III. Russell Wilson. Cam Newton. Andy Dalton. Colin Kaepernick. Jake Locker. Christian Ponder. Brandon Weeden. Terrelle Pryor. E.J. Manuel.

Heck of a group, right? Sure, but, someone was missing.

A guy who has got his team off to a blazing 2-0 start to the season. A guy who’s won two road games against overhyped summertime teams. A guy who was a top-10 pick, led his team to seven wins in 16 starts in his rookie year, and a guy who was playing wide receiver for his college team fewer than four years ago.

What’d Ryan Tannehill ever do to the media?

First was the special on RGIII, "will to win" or whatever they called it.. I remember thinking to myself the guy hasnt taken a snap, and they think he has recovered and ready.. Obviously a little premature..

Then I hear, "they all said he was too small to play QB, they said ...etc..." and I was like, cool a special on Brees.. And then I hear "Russel Wilson"... HUH?

RT is right on track... No freshman blastoff, no NFL network specials, no sophmore slump..

Just good fundamental football.. He may not throw for 450 and 4 TD's, but he also has not put his team in a bad position either..

Keep it up RT..

The key to Miami winning today is whether Tannehill can continue to score points and limit turnovers. It isn't so much about what Miami's defense can limit Ryan too. It's more about how much damage Tannehill can inflict on Atlanta's defense.

I think he will though, eventually.

I was so angry watching CBS today. They talked and talked and talked about all the young QBs and not one mention of Tannehill. They even brought up Ponder and Weeden who just got benched!

I dont expect them to mention him along side Kaepernick, Luck, and Wilson, but they act like he doesn't even exist! Can they at least put a still pic up in the corner of the screen for 2 seconds?!

He was shaky today, but came up big on that final drive.

Wow.....beating the Falcons.......despite the sacks and the turnovers. Big win. Knocking off two playoff teams from last year. Of course, the Pats keep winning with that cake walk schedule though....

Tannehill took some hits, some he should have been able to avoid, he had a fumble, and he made a few bad throws, but when it counted on that final drive, he looked cool and poised.

I was thinking QB sneak on that goal line play, or maybe run up the middle, but he tossed it right in the endzone with no fear for a game winning TD.

GO Dolphins! 3-0!

Valid points, we better find a way to improve our pass protection or Tannehill won't make it through the season.

The last drive was huge for Tannehill. He was composed and didn't force anything. He overcame the dropped pass by Miller. 13 plays 75 yards 4:08 minutes. He completed 8 out of 11 passes and drove a stake through the Falcons heart.

RT needs more pocket awareness. The OL sucked today for sure, but come RT, throw the ball away.

I couldn't agree more Mak....It is really getting concerning..

His pocket awareness has to improve alot. Teams are blitzing the hell out of him because they know he don't see it coming.

I made that comment several times today in the chat. The O-line needs to protect better, and Thomas needs to learn how to block, but more than anything, Tanny needs to be more aware back there.

Even with these issues which I completely agree with, it is amazing that he took that last drive and won the game. What a finish Tanny.

He came up huge in the final drive. To go 8 for 11 with the game on the line and to throw the game-winning TD pass has to be a huge boon to both his confidence and the team's overall.

Gotta give the coaching staff some credit for changing some things up in the second half and late in the game....Second week in a row too.

Whether its lack of pocket awareness or a porous line, Tannehill has been sacked 14 times in 3 games. They have to make some adjustments to minimize this or he will not finish the season. Maybe more shotgun, or 3 step drops or rolling him out. But he cannot continue to be pounded like this. I think he has progressed big time. But he could easily end up suffering a season ending injury by enduring this type of beating week in week out.

They can start by not play-faking after a 1 yard run on first down.

Or a 3 step drop in the shotgun snap

Screen plays and draws will help.

I was surprised at the lack of screens this week, especially after they were a big part of the game-plan last week at Indy.
