IMO he just used a bad choice of words. Thousands were killed by those terrorists. Building that on that site is like a blow to those that lost their lives. And to their families. It could easily be built some where else. As an American, I don't want anything there that will only aggravate the situation further. They have mosques here to worship in. What would happen if we went and built a Baptist church, as an example, over there on ground they chose to honor their dead?

There should be no reason why they had to walk off, just sit there and debate. But, the whole 9/11 Mosque controversy didn't sit well with me at all. The Mosque wasn't going to be built on any kinda of hallowed ground. It was not on any kind of land that the people died. As somone pointed out, it was in the surrounding area (a couple blocks away) from the empty site, just like a strip club was in the surrounding area. They can go ahead and build it there and I don't really care. As for us building something over there, well, aren't we supposed to be better than them?

You could probably throw a baseball from the site to Ground Zero. This View incident was a ratings stunt which proved how its two liberal co-hosts are incapable of allowing anyone else to have an opinion different from their own. O'Reilly got them to embarrass themselves rather than counter with an intelligent rebuttal.

No baseball. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/matt-sled ... 60585.htmlIt is the media that is actually making it out to be CLOSER than it really is.

Re: Bill O'Reilly Gets Whoopi Goldberg & Joy Behar to Walk Off T
Its two buildings across. We aren't talking massive buildings either. Until you actually go there and see for yourself, I wouldn't quote and trust the Huffington Post for an accurate description.
I've been down there several times. My father was just there for a meeting and was shocked by how close it is compared to what he has seen on the nightly news.
Its not across the street but it is very close.
The time thing is insignificant. It takes me 45 seconds to walk to my car from my office and it is right out front. Double that and add a few seconds isn't exactly like walking across multiple football fields.

Have you ever been to that area of New York City?
