Just got it Saturday and have gone through the initial first season a few times and found some things that have worked.

First off the game still has not learned how to properly deal with player ratings in a 34 defense and is very annoying. To get the most out of the Phins defense you HAVE to run a 43. The moves I made

Wake and Charlie Anderson to Defensive End
Langford, Odrick, and McDaniel to Defensive Tackle
Dansby to OLB
Reshad Jones to SS and Clemons to FS
Nate Garner from Tackle to Guard
Traded Ronnie Brown for a first and second round pick and maybe a 3rd or 4th
Traded Langford, Will Allen, and a 2nd or 3rd for first rounder
Traded a group of second and third round picks and maybe a player for another first rounder

Also a little trick to use if you ever need trade bait is to sign linebackers and change them to DE some of them improve dramatically

Changed my coaching philosophy to pass 70 percent of the time and I went 9 and 7 without playing a game and beat the Colts in a Wild Card playoff

During the offseason you have 4 first rounders and probably a second rounder to fill spots. This is what I did

Changed Misi to DE to upgrade Anderson
Drafted a Linebacker, Defensive Back, Offensive Line, Running Back, and WR

Both Clemons and Jones develop nicely so you don't have to draft a Safety. I usually take the best available either Safey or Cornerback if its absolutely necessary Smith can be moved to Safety.

And there you go your young talented team is ready to go!

Signed WR Antonio Bryant, Center J. Hartwig, CB Shawn Springs, RB Willie Parker, RB D. Frisch, TE Ernest Wilford (everyone but Frisch signed a 1 year deal).
Traded three of my 1st round picks to the Packers for QB Aaron Rodgers.
Traded Chad Henne to the Packers for 2nd and 3rd round picks.
Signed QB Nate Davis and FB Tony Richardson.
Traded FB Tony Richardson to the 49ers for a 3rd round pick.
Signed FB O. Schmitt to a 3 year deal.
Released Roberto Wallace and signed WR Troy Williamson (KR & PR's)
