 Matt Elam
Ive been following this kid since he spurned my Noles and went to those damn Gators! He is an elite talent and I think will be a future pro bowl player! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHc-yu0R ... ata_playerWhat do you guys think of the Phins picking a Safety at 12?

 Re: Matt Elam
I forget who wrote about it but someone was advocating for re-signing Clemons as he and Jones started coming into their own as a team. Not everyone has to be a Pro Bowl talent and if Clemons can give you solid play then I think Miami is better off re-signing him and drafting a prospect in the later rounds to develop.
I'd much rather a CB at 12 or 42 if Miami needs to address the secondary in the draft.

I'd much rather a CB at 12 or 42 if Miami needs to address the secondary in the draft. I agree with bringing Clemons back. While his ball skills leave a lot to be desired, he is a very solid tackler with speed, and there is something to be said for having chemistry. He and Reshad Jones make a nice duo. I am a Nole fan too and not a fan of Elam, but that said, he is a very good football player. Not the 12th pick in the draft, but he will probably go 1st round.

Elam at 12?
You could probably get him at 42.
And no way to taking a safety in the first round.

And no way to taking a safety in the first round. I've said this before on another thread but I'll say it again. We need to hope Barkley, Glennon and another QB have a great combine and start to get over hyped the like the 2011 draft when Locker, Ponder and Gabbert went high. That will cause certain defensive players to drop and we will be at 12 waiting!!!

Andy Reid could start his new job (like in Philly) with Smith, Barkley, Wilson or Glennon. Arizona will need a new QB. The possiblities are endless and I definitely see a big time guy dropping to Miami at 12.

 Re: Matt Elam
Would love to grab Elam at #42. I only saw him in the Sugar Bowl but I liked what I saw. I think he would be a nice upgrade over Clemons.

 Re: Matt Elam
That's great and all but the QB class is relatively weak, and the FA market is pretty highly saturated..... Who needs a QB anyways? Raiders? Chiefs? Jets? Cardinals? Jags? Bills?
At least 3 of those teams will address in the FA. I wouldn't bank on a 3 QB run in the top 10 this year at all

 Re: Matt Elam
CB and WR are much bigger needs. The talented players go in the first round for a reason.....
