What would you consider as a successful 2013 Dolphins season
What would it take for you to consider the 2013 season a success for the Dolphins? There are so many areas that need improvement. However for me the bottom line is the Dolphins must make the playoffs for me to consider the season a success. Miami last played in a playoff game on 1/4/09 when they lost to the Ravens 27 to 9 in a wild card playoff game for the 2008 season. And you have to go all the way back to 12/30/00 for the last Miami Dolphin playoff victory. So while it would be easy for me to say that if Miami improves their passing game or scores more TD's in the redzone or finds 3 starters in this years draft it would be a successful year. For me none of that really matters if it doesn't result in a playoff appearance. I think they have to go 10-6 or better to land a wild card spot. So what would you consider a successful 2013 season?

Playoffs. 7-9 or 6-10 for the last 4 years. It is time to see real improvement and not continued mediocrity. It starts with sweeping Buffalo and the Jests and at least splitting with the Brady brats. I can see NE getting Harvin though.....and that could be big, big trouble.

In my opinion, no team outside the playoffs had a successful season. Set the bar low and you will play low.

I said playoffs. IF that happens it will mean the RT is a legit QB.

I said 3 starters in the draft because it's about time we start getting some really solid draft classes in here.
The playoffs could be a legit expectation next year, no doubt, but I'd really like to see some more young talent to get us there again and again.

If Miami does go with Lamar Miller as its feature back, that would mean the 2012 draft netted 3 starters in Tannehill, Martin and Miller. And that doesn't include Vernon. I am hoping the first 4 rounds of this years draft (6 picks) will net 3 solid starters. So I think this is very possible. Hopefully Miami can land a big free agent or two. That should increase the core talent of this team. However I think Miami will only go as far as Tannehill takes them. Get him the weapons he needs so we can see if he is going to be the real deal.

Gotta be playoffs.. You can make them with a 10 win season, thats just 3 more than last year...
