Per Schefter.

Jeff Ireland better not be a jackass and lowball him again. I think he'd be the PERFECT RT to bring in...

He'd be my number 2 target (assuming Wallace is the consensus #1).

They must love either Fisher or Joeckel. Still doesn't make sense. Might have been able to trade that contract.

Because they franchised Brandon Albert and are about to take a left tackle #1 overall in the draft.

Thats what I was reading as well... Article said he was here and offered a contract here, then the Chiefs trumped it.. He struggled early on there, then was the one who spoke out about fans cheering Cassel being injured..

I think he gets a similar offer here as he had last year...

Eric would be an ideal fit for the Dolphins zone blocking scheme.

Winston can be signed prior to FA starting.

I was hoping he would be signed by now

Martin will be okay at LT & Winston is a good bit cheaper then Long, & possibly better in the scheme

I'm hoping like hell that Jonathan will be okay at OLT. The zone blocking scheme Miami uses now is what Eric was in while with the Texans.

If Miami signs Eric, they have a major upgrade with a young, talented ORT.

This seems to be a no brainer to me, but you never know what Jeff Ireland will do.

Winston had a good year and is only 29. He'd work for a couple years for us. Fits the Zone scheme well.

Martin played much better at LT than RT. LT was his natural position in college. If you can get Winston for a bargain price, do it, move Martin to LT and let Long walk. Like I said last year, Martin was insurance in case Long walked this offseason.

According to NFL Network's Albert Breer, "three teams" are targeting free agent RT Eric Winston, and he could end up signing as soon as today.
Winston was released by Kansas City on Wednesday and is free to sign elsewhere immediately. It's not surprising that he's got a hot market because Winston is still a solid starter, particularly in a zone-blocking offense. We suspect the Eagles, and perhaps Redskins and Dolphins are pursuing the 29-year-old.

The Eagles and Houston were the first two teams to contact Winston.

Not sure if those are two of the three that are "targeting" him, but here's hoping Miami is the third.

He's a better fit, safer, and cheaper than Jake Long is right now. This is an absolute no brainer to me.

Eric does have some Miami connections. He's a Hurricane, and his brother is a regional scout for us.

TommyNoleFin, Martin may have looked a tad better on the left side, but there no getting around the fact that this man got BULL RUSHED, and bull rushed ALOT. That was the concern with him coming out of college.

I hope he is working to get better and stronger, but I am concerned.

Getting Winston would be a big boost to this OL.

Have to think he would rather play here than those other teams.

Martin looked equally terrible to me on the left side.

I hope he is squatting, bench pressing and taking every legal strength building supplement available this offseason.

If he doesn't get stronger, Tannehill won't finish the season.

Ill bet me at 48 years old could go in and out do Martin in the gym. You would think a guy his size recruited into the NFL playing D1 offensive line would be bench pressing cars or something. He is built like play do man.

Now, brute strength, perhaps, but not the body of a chiseled weight room fanatic.

From Rotoworld....

Free agent RT Eric Winston visited the Chargers over the weekend.
Winston obviously left without a deal, though, as he was on a flight to South Florida Sunday night. San Diego has Jeromey Clary at right tackle, but he has been a part of the problem on the line the last few years. The Chargers are installing a zone-blocking scheme this season, and Winston would fit in nicely.

Gotta think the Giants might get in on this.
