was released by the Ravens....please get him NOW!!!

Ravens dump another: Bernard Pollard axed Ravens released SS Bernard Pollard.
The purge continues in Baltimore. The hard-hitting Pollard had a $3.25 million cap figure and a $500K roster bonus in 2013, but was a core piece of the defense and is just 28 years old. The Super Bowl Champs have now lost a stunning six starters off their 2012 defense. Perhaps they're preparing to make an offer to retain Ed Reed. Pollard will not hurt for suitors after racking up 98 tackles, two sacks, one interception and six pass breakups in 13 starts a year ago. Source: Jamison Hensley on Twitter Mar 13 - 10:31 AM

Is he a free safety or a strong safety? Because we need a free safety, we already have our strong safety.

I'm guessing Ed Reed is the free safety in Baltimore, so Pollard was the strong safety.

If so, I don't see where he fits. I like Reshad Jones better.

Yeah I believe he is a strong....but he knocks out Patriots like ducks in a pond, maybe Jones can move to free! Is that position easily interchangeable or is it completely different?

You need the faster player at free safety and the better tackler/hitter at strong safety. Many teams will put their strong safety in the box to stop the run.

In most systems, it is not that easy to interchange.

Lets not spend all our money in two days. It didn't work well for the Eagles last year.

I want to say he was the FS when he was with the chiefs and he was paired with Jarrad Page. If thats the case, he has done it before so it could be a possibility
