Ryan Tannehill would go No. 1 this year, Gil Brandt says
Quote:
"I think if Ryan Tannehill were in this draft, he'd be the top pick," Brandt told Sports Illustrated's Peter King on Monday. "And he was (eighth) last year.

I agree with Brandt, I think Tannehill would easily be the best quarterback in the draft if he had stayed in school another year.

And if Landry Jones and Matt Barkley had come out last year, Tannehill would have gone even later

And Henne would have been an undrafted free agent.

Seeing as how his college coach became the Dolphins offensive coordinator, I don't find a lot of credibility with this statement.

The Dolphins would have still taken Tannehill.

Agree, things might have been different had they not, but with them coming to Miami I believe Tanny still would have went at No. 8. Arm strength greater than Barkley also.

Don't believe Jones would have went higher. He is just not that good.

I agree, they'd have likely traded the farm to move up and get him.

But in this lies a more important question: would he have eventually lost the starting job to Johnny Manziel?

They weren't losing when Tannehill was there so why would he lose his job?
