 Miami's 2013 schedule
Monday Night vs New Orleans in Week 4.
Thursday Night vs the Bengals on Halloween Week 8.
And Monday Night vs Tampa Bay in Week 10.

MNF against the Bucs is....uhh....perplexing. Is everybody else on a bye week that week or something?

Miami will open at Cleveland and close vs the Jets at home.

http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/

Update: Here's the full schedule...Absolutely brutal before the bye week.

Two Monday Night games! Nice. A Thursday Night game! Even better.

It's a tough schedule, but it should be a fun one to watch.

I think the Dolphins could be 4-1 going into the bye.

Could make a case for 4-1... or 1-4.

Like how the end of the season plays out though. If they can get through the first half with a winning record, last eight games could easily see a 6-2 finish.

The worst primetime game in my opinion is Denver and Oakland on MNF. Absolutely awful, garbage match up. I laughed when we saw that we're opening at Cleveland, how dull.

Most of the TNF matchups last season were bad team vs bad team. I really like that we're playing Cincinnati on primetime, definitely an intriguing game. One of the best matchups to watch during that game is Grimes on Green.

That first half is absolutely brutal! If we can come out relatively unscathed, we should be in great position to make a real run in the second half

Jets get a MNF game?? WTF? They open against Tampa and maybe against Revis. That would be interesting.

What case could you possibly make for 4-1? lol.

Baltimore and Atlanta are the 2 home games. On the road vs Indy and a MNF in New Orleans?...Winning 2 of those 4 would be unbelievable impressive. I'm hoping for 2-3.

You could make a case for 4-1? Not logically.

What a brutal schedule in this first 5 games.

NFL Network was just reviewing the Falcon's schedule and had analysis on most of their matchups, but when they got to Miami, they laughed it off lmao.

Will definitely be at the opener to watch us stomp on the browns and also the steelers game. If any phin fans are at either I would love to get together to tailgate, never tailgated before at the 3 games I've been to, don't know anybody haha. GO PHINS! :jests:

I take extreme offense to your username, but I may be going to that game up in Pittsburgh (family up there) and it'd be cool to hook up with another fan.

That was that byotch Shaun O'Hara, former OL for the New York Giants. I hope the Dolphins make him eat his darn words. Willie McGinnest was the other guy.

I think I am going to try to get to that Atlanta game.

If they review our record, they will probably say 7-9 again. Man I don't get the hate on Miami, it's confusing. Yet they put the BUCS up there on the pedestal, where is the hype of Tampa coming from? What did they do over the off season? As long as they have Freeman behind center, I don't see them doing jack.

I would say 3-2 through the first 5 games Baltimore, browns I think we will win. We were darn close to the Colts last year should be another good game. The Saints will be better then there 7-9 last year but I wouldent put them to far above Miami. The Falcons would be the only game I am really negative on but, we are at home for that one.

If I go to an away game. It may be the Pittsburgh one as it's less then 3 hours away. Though I'd like to go to the Thursday night one in Cincy. But, that's a 7 hour hike.

With my Mom moving down to Delray. I will definitely be down to catch at least 1 home game. (Free place to stay! Woo)

Wow it looks like I get to watch the Dolphins play the Pats in semi decent weather. I'm sick and tired off freezing my butt off and watching the Phins roll over in a meaningless game in December. I will definitely be at the Oct 27th game in Foxboro and hopefully the Phins come away with a win.

Post Re: Miami's 2013 schedule
I know every team will have a short week while every team plays a Thursday night game.... my only beef with the schedule is that OUR Thursday night game which is cool that it is on Halloween (although agaist the team with Halloween colors) is that it follows the Pats game up in NE...

Do they look past the Pats and prepare for a winnable home game against the Bengals? Do you over emphasize the divisional rival and not have enough time to prepare for Cincy?

I would think the "top" two teams in the East should have more favorable conditions rather than this.

I see a scenario occurring here where the Phins lose to the Pats and don't have enough recovery time/or whatever to fall victim to the Bengals...... win/lose to the pats the Phins will have to come out hungry and fighting 4 days later... Im sensing that that will be the make or break week of the season... assuming 2-3 into the bye, and coming out with a win against the bills........... 3-3 going into NE, a win would be huge, but 2 losses and a 3-5 record may sink the whole season. Just my thought

May try for the Pittsburgh game too. My boys have thier annual visit to thier doctors at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center every December. Gonna have to try and schedule that visit around Dec. 8. Will most likely be at the Jets game in NJ.

Or Milliner on Green if we're lucky!

This looks to me like a matchup between two up and coming teams. Last years game was very competitive. This year should be about the same, but I expect a little more firepower from our side.

Yeah, playing two top tier teams like Atlanta and Baltimore is a tough draw. Playing Cleveland is the easiest game of the bunch, and they'll be fired up and playing their best because it's week one and they're at home. Not easy. Also, playing against the Colts in Indy, never an easy game. And playing the Saints on the road on Monday Night, exciting, but extremely difficult.

I agree Rock, that is a murderer's row coming out of the gate. Luckily we'll have the bye week to lick our wounds after that start.

I'm hoping for 3-2, but my gut tells me 2-3. But considering what our schedule looks like after that, 2-3 with that schedule really isn't that bad.

We could be 1-4 going into the bye week. They really screwed us early.
I say 9-7 this year.

The Dolphins had better generate some momentum in the preseason as it will be tough to do that before the bye. There are a lot of new pieces on this team. I just hope that Philben can keep the team together and motivated if they have a tough start. I think we have a good team, but all teams need some type of momentum.

The first 5 games include 4 tough matchups but it's not like they're unbeatable teams.

Only one of those teams made the Superbowl, and happened to win it. Baltimore has lost a lot of leadership and a lot of talent though, they'll still be good, but I'd be surprised if they were dominant. Plus they were nothing but average in the regular season.

Indy is definitely beatable... and we should have had them last year. New Orleans has no defense, so as long as ours holds their ground we can take that one home.

The Falcons are honestly the hardest matchup as they're the most well rounded team of the bunch. It'll be tough to shut down Julio Jones, Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez with who we have in place right now.

Sounds like 4-1 to me.

I agree. Yes they are tough match ups, but that doesn't mean losses. It's time to stop thinking that way. Stop being afraid of good teams and become one.

I also agree with that. it is time for the Dolphins to start matching up consistently with these good teams. Every team is beatable.

I think the Dolphins will stomp the browns week one. I don't think Baltimore will be as good this year. Miami looked very good against the colts last year, and have improved much since then. The saints could be tough, and the falcons really tough.

If you don't think you can do something, then you probably won't.

I think the Dolphins can win tough games. You don't see other teams hanging their heads at challenging games. Those are the big games fans go for. They WANT to play the good teams and beat them.

I'm enjoying this offseason and can't wait for week one.

Go Dolphins!

Sounds like a lot of Kool-Aid to me.

Stop being afraid? Give me a break. This has nothing to do with being afraid. Tell the Dolphins to "BECOME ONE". They haven't yet. All they've done is spend some money in the offseason. Some of those other teams we're facing also shored up needs as well.

Two bonafied Super Bowl Contenders (1 the defending Champ). A road game vs. an offense that production and talent-wise is better than either side of the football we've got and could run us out of the dome if we play foolishly. Indy in year two at their place with Luck only getting better.

We're not the only team who could improve next year ya know ..... If this Dolphins team doesn't gel quickly (as it's going to have a TON of new pieces between rookies and FA's), then to ask them to march through a schedule like that virutally umblemished is absurd.

We all know Miami needs to take the off season transactions/new additions and actually implement that to success on the field this season. I agree that the Dolphins need to prove it and until they do, skeptics will stay in full force and it is hard to fault that approach.

HOPEFULLY, this is finally the year the fins turn the corner. We shall see.
