I think it makes a credible argument for the past and is an interesting viewpoint>

That is a very good read, and I do agree that Ireland has evolved into his own style in regards to the draft and how he operates. He has got away from the way Parcells thought on some things, and he and Coach Philbin seem to work very well together.

Let's just hope it all meshes on the field for this team.

At the end of the day, if Tannehill becomes the next great quarterback, everything else will fall into place. Ireland and Philbin are both tied to this kid, his success is their success. A great quarterback can change the fate of a franchise. Hopefully Tannehill becomes great.

Its a good article but his QB argument sort of negated a lot of it. If Chad Henne is Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan then none of the power player selections seem dated. Miami is probably a winning team, Parcells is still around, we like (not love) Sparano because at least the playoffs are consistently happening.

Another factor I think he could have mentioned was that the speed element is significantly helped by the refs being very tough on the secondary. The NFL is almost forcing a QB friendly/speed league.

Now I should probably be quiet because that article is better than anything I could have written.
