If we go .500 it will be a huge disappointment. You did not be this active in the off season & hand out these 1 year deals to go .500. The last decade , yeah I witnessed it & was pretty much bashed when I gave my opinion of signing Culpepper & not Brees , when guys said that John Beck was actually the second best QB in his draft class behind Russell because Shanahan said so & I disagreed , when it was said with the likes of Porter , Taylor & Thomas nobody will ever move the ball on us & I also disagreed , or my opinion that the demise of the Patriots will only come when they finally age & not by another team in the division actually stepping up. And those who have been here for some time know there are much more. Look you want to give out awards , when we did give them out ask Dave who always won the non homer award. Maybe a change in my thinking will change the teams fortunes. Dont get me wrong , I still do not like the owner so you all can come after me with that but finally we showed some balls both in the draft & in free agency & were active which is only an admission of guilt that we did suck & were NEVER close (sorry swerve & wk). I loved it after 1-15 it was still said we only need to be tweaked & not overhauled. Was never one for the rose colored glasses or the kool aid & will never be.
I completely agree. A 1 game improvement will definitely be a disappointment.
I doubt I would be happy with 9-7 in most circumstances. Maybe these are high expectations, but after years of being down on the teams chances, I see reason for hope. If they could go 7-9 with all the big question marks surrounding 2012, I believe we should be looking for a big step up in 2013.
Agreed. This should be a 10-6 team if Tannehill is who we hope. Even if the secondary has question marks this offense should be putting up points...and a lot of them. Yes, I know its only OTAs but we're already hearing about Tannehill being better in just about every phase. The baptism by fire was the best thing that could have happened to him.
I think the only things that could derail this season are injuries. There don't appear to be locker room issues, problem children, lack of faith in coach or QB, lack of speed on offense or defense.
