I know this doesn't go here, as it's not directly Miami Dolphins related, and I know Rock Sexton will have a stroke about it, but I figured you guys might want to see this before it's moved to the appropriate place and lost in the abyss.

I saw an article on ProFootballTalk.com about it as well. Needless to say, this is about as serious as it can get.

And with Gronk having what seems like his 25th surgery of the offseason, New England might be without both TE's if this thing blows up.

Like i said in an earlier thread about the Cleveland player being suspended when we play them. Its all falling into place. I have no doubt about his guilt & he should be suspended for both games that we play the Patriots this season. I hope they leave no stone unturned as well in this investigation as well because I smell Tom Bradys hands on this as well.

I think the smart play here is to let ALL facts come out before saying much.

My only question is did Hernandez run with a rough crowd prior to college and pro football? I don't know anything about his past but sometimes old connections can really come back to haunt or hurt you.

Very true, and odds are that it won't amount to anything at all. But all it takes is an overzealous team of lawyers and some circumstantial evidence for a trial that could put his season in jeopardy. I'm VERY interested to see how this plays out.

I agree here. I really don't think anything happened. The fact that it happened within a mile radius of his house is probably the only reason why the cops questioned him. When a serious crime takes place, the cops question everyone in the vicinity. Several times, cops have knocked on my door to question me about crimes that took place in the neighborhood I live in.... crimes I knew absolutely nothing about. This is the media overhyping a story because it's a prominent member of the Patriots and because it's a homicide.

Thought this was interesting....

Quote:
Hernandez repeatedly has been described as not a suspect, but it’s unusual to say the least that the home of someone who isn’t suspected of committing a crime would be searched — especially in light of the Constitutional protection against unreasonable police searches.

That’s the key fact here. Even though there currently is no reason to believe Hernandez committed a crime, the authorities were able to persuade a judge that the house potentially contains something that would help find the killer.

The question is, did Hernandez consent to the search? I'm pretty sure he did in order to cooperate with the police.

He has no choice, they showed up with a warrant to search the property.

What a blow it would be to New England if they started the season without Gronk and Hernandez. Especially with Welker gone. Poor Tommy.

I don't think their offense looks great entering 2013. Not like it usually does.

IF any of this is true, Hernandez's IQ outside of football must be borderline "moron". What the heck is wrong with these athletes that get into this kind of trouble. Again, IF, this is even true, why would a millionaire athlete even bother carrying a gun around not as self protection but as a potential thug.

My opinion, but these kind of actions just shake my head. Is this the best he can do with his free time with the kind of means he has??? Innocent until proven guilty of course.....

Now all we need is Jimmy Graham to get suspended for marijuana, and the John Jerry pick elevates itself into one of the greatest in Dolphins history!!

Are we sure James Gandolfini had a heart attack? He was a jets fan, and Hernandez is still on the loose.

Well, he didn't 'allegedly' get shot in the face, so, I would say tht Hernandez is safe in that instant.

:fart:

I have to say that these guys are just idiots to associate themselves with people like that. Bad company corrupts good morals ... if he had any to begin with.

the Patriots must be really good at covering up Hernandez's off-field matters. More and more rumors of incidences keep coming out from area nightclubs.

Quote:
In a separate matter, Hernandez has been sued by a man who says Hernandez shot him in the face. And Sports Illustrated reports that Hernandez has been connected to two other incidents involving guns and police, although he was not charged in either of those incidents.

from a fan in Rhode Island

Quote:
The flood gates have opened. All sorts of police reports are being exposed now.
Hernandez was involved in an incident outside The Foxy Lady here in Providence. Jets fan was taunting him, a friend of Hernandez pulled a gun and later tossed it. Cops recovered the gun.

Aaron has been busy this off season.

Edit - Turns out the incident happen at Viva. You gotta be looking for trouble if you bring a gun to Viva. Like a Brown University student was going to stick him up or something.

Was reading how all the NFL execs are coming out saying he was off the draft boards due to gang affiliation...

Media circus has moved to NE this off season, between Tebow and this there will be a lot of distraction.

With Hernandez' legal issues and Gronk's ongoing forearm/infection/back problems, New England's vaunted 2-TE set, arguably the best tandem in the NFL, could disappear like a mustard fart in a stiff wind. And, since Miami in recent years has had some difficulties in limiting opposing TE production, that could certainly help them in their head to head match-ups this season.

Im predicting a sweep of NE this season. They will be lucky to see double digit wins.

plus they have no vertical receivers. They could hand us the division this year by default.
