I was thinking he'd be more of a wide receiver

Hernandez destroyed his phone, home security system and video surveillance AND he had his house scrubbed from top to bottom. Comes off as actions of a man who is guilty of something. I don't see him playing in 2013 at this point. This is gonna take a while to sort out

His actions point toward a guy who is involved one way or another, possibly after the fact. A possibility is he may be covering up for someone else. Things are not looking good for Mr Hernandez.

And covering for someone else is a serious crime. Especially if you're hindering a homicide investigation.

on sports radio tonite they said the victim was shot execution style in the back of the head at Hernandez' house, and that the neighbors heard the shot fired.

There was a reason the Patriots “stole” Gronk and Hernandez in the draft. One had glaring injury red flags (particularly with his back) and the other had glaring character red flags.

Welcome Aaron, I would like to introduce you to Rae Carruth. Enjoy some great discussions about what were your football careers.

I was wondering how long it would take for a Rae Carruth reference

plus they have no vertical receivers. They could hand us the division this year by default.

And after a dozen or so years of their dominance , i will take it by default. While I would like to beat them straight up at full strength , in the end nobody will remember the logistics , just the outcome.

A warrant was issued for his arrest this morning according to MSN.com. Where there's smoke, there is usually fire.

The warrant is for obstruction..Which seems he is already guilty of going by reports.

That alone is a serious blow to his NFL career.......4 million cap hit to cut him now I read that correct.

I would think he's looking at a significant suspension if this is all the farther it goes. If he actually goes on trial for murder, his career is done, whether acquitted or not I think

A law enforcement official told the Boston Globe that 27-year-old murder victim Odin Lloyd was shot "multiple times" before his death in a Massachusetts industrial park.
"He was killed where they found the body," said the official. "He was shot multiple times." Multiple shots likely rule out a Jayson Williams-style accidental shooting, where Williams attempted to cover up the incident post-event. The same law official told the Globe that Aaron Hernandez continues to be uncooperative with police. He's expected to be arrested on obstruction-of-justice charges Friday, which could later be upgraded pending more evidence.

I think the team may try to sue him to get some of the money back. It depends on what his contract says.

The Boston Herald reports Aaron Hernandez was "booted" from Gillette Stadium when he showed up to work out on Thursday.
Per a source close to the team, Hernandez was allowed in the building, but "staff was waiting for him and instructed him to leave." No coaches were present. Hernandez's ambling drive to the stadium was subject to O.J. Simpson-style helicopter coverage on cable news, as was his trip to the gas station. It could be a sign that Hernandez won't be welcome at training camp if his situation remains unresolved, but that's just a wild guess.

I'm guessing its not a good idea to draft Hernandez for your fantasy team.

Sure, if you're in a fantasy prison football league :)

After the Dolphins came after Ricky Williams, the players union made demands in the next CBA that make it MUCH harder for teams to recoup money already paid.

As you said, it depends on his contract. But not likely

i saw a report that they couldn't go after any guaranteed money according to the contract....Scrolled on a local channel...

Of course the reporting at this stage has been not very accurate.

Right now Hernandez hopefully had nothing to do with this matter, but with all the folks after him right now, it sure doesn't look good.

I will say it again, IF he had ANYTHING to do with this, he really is a complete MORON.

Just dumb choices by some of these high profile athletes.

He may not have pulled the trigger, but he darn sure knew what the hell was going on. To have your house cleaned and destroy your cell phone and security surveillance system tells me that much.

He was involved in some capacity. That much I'm certain of at this point.

Former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez has been charged with murder in the death of Odin Lloyd, a prosecutor said in a Massachusetts courtroom Wednesday.
