Post Rookie CB Jamar Taylor gets schooled by Fuller
Welcome to the NFL, rookie ... lol.

Quote:
Dolphins rookie CB Jamar Taylor was a full participant on the first day of training camp after offseason hernia surgery.

Running with the deep reserves, Taylor promptly got burned deep for a 70-yard touchdown bomb by Jeff Fuller, thrown by third-string quarterback Pat Devlin. Taylor is better than that, but he's no longer considered a serious competitor for a starting job. LCB Brent Grimes and RCB Richard Marshall appear locked in.

While I don't necessarily disagree with the notion that Grimes and Marshall will be the starters, why is it that year after year we get wannabe analysts making conclusive statements after 1 day of practice?

Is Taylor really not considered anything other than maybe a 3rd corner? What is the point of camp and competition?

And yes, before anyone starts going off about buying into hype I'm not suggesting Taylor is legit, I'm simply saying that we should let camp and the preseason play out first.

This also means Jeff Fuller will make the team and be locked in as our primary deep threat.

I'll bet height had a lot to do with it. Fuller is 6'4" and Taylor is only 5'10" if I'm not mistaken. We had this problem years ago with T-Buck trying to cover Randy Moss.

I think it safe to say their is not a defensive back that has not gotten beat before. It happens. The key for him, like any defensive back is to have a short to no memory at all.

Why am I not surprised this came from the rage of a website, aka Rotoworld.com. Stick to Fantasy League clowns.

How long ago was the hernia surgery? Has he fully recovered yet? Might that play into why he got beat?
