When pads go on its CRITICAL to watch the O-line vs. D-line, and to see if RBs can pass block, and LBers can shed blocks.

Olivier Vernon admits "I'm trying to prove something" as the #Dolphins' starting DE

Dolphins rookie CB Jamar Taylor, who has been nursing a groin injury since OTAs, is sidelined during practice 3. Possible setback.

It will be interesting to see if Joe Philbin watches the JV unit during the team's first padded practice. He's watched JV the past 2 days.

Jimmy Wilson is indeed the free safety and Kelcie McCray is the strong safety. However, Dolphins WANT interchangeable safeties.

Rookie Keelan Johnson is a free safety on the JV defense and fellow rookies Jordan Kovacs and Don Jones are the strong safety.

Dolphins DT Tracy Robertson, who is 6-4, 300 pounds, is being used as a backup DE on the 2nd team line. Likely until Dion Jordan is cleared.

Most of you saw Dion Jordan's new hair. Emeka Onyenekwu has half his hair dyed blonde. Split right down the middle.

Dion Jordan has pads and a helmet on. He's doing pre-practice work. I'm thinking he's working today.

Richard Marshall just broke up a Tannehill pass to Brian Hartline.

Mike Wallace is WIDE open for a 30-yard reception from Ryan Tannehill. Someone blew a coverage.

Daniel Thomas, who is the third down back, catches a screen pass from Tannehill.

My bad. Matt Moore was the quarterback on the Daniel Thomas reception.

Dustin Keller and Michael Egnew are the two tight ends playing together. Egnew just caught a pass from Tannehill during 11-on-11s.

Dan Carpenter made his first field goal and then split the uprights on a 52-yarder, which had room to spare.

Lamar Miller no longer has a special team assignment (featured back status) so during those drills he's working with his position coach

Based on all of the tweets and Salguero's blog it sounds like the offense all around was pretty terrible today.

Defense is usually ahead of the offense in the beginning of training camp.

Possibly. Either the defense is that good or the offense is that bad. We'll find out as it goes.

I would not judge anything to much right now. We are in Day 2 of camp with A LOT of new pieces that are being blended together.
