IMO, I don't know what we have in RT. I keep hearing words like potential, the future. I don't hear that of Luck, Wilson, RG3. The jury is still out on R, for sure. You need an elite QB to win in the NFL, not an elite OL.
There weren't "questions" about Cam Newton going into his 2nd year. He had the rookie record for passing yards, a 60% completion and an 85 rating his rookie year.
Nowhere to go but up, right?
Completion percentage down, touchdowns down, yards down, interceptions down but fumbles up...
Just because these guys had good rookie seasons (and statistically, Luck was near the bottom of the league in rating and TD:INT ratio, which you always harp on) doesn't mean they are going to get better or there aren't questions about them.
How will RGIII hold up physically with his style of play and once teams start containing and blitzing him more?
Has Luck already reached his ceiling? He was considered the most "finished/polished" product coming out of college.
Can Russell Wilson, at 5'11 in high heels, continue to find success?
And how come everyone who wants to doubt Tannehill conveniently only mention those three guys and leave Brandon Weeden out? Weeden was a 1st round pick and Wilson wasn't. Why isn't Weeden in the conversation as well?
I remember some of the same people who doubt Tannehill being high on Weeden, but what has a 2nd year player who will probably be retiring by his 5th season shown?
