it was pretty unanimous that Cleveland was gonna beat us according to them.
We made a statement in the Dawg Pound. Now show us some love and give a rising team credit.

Not sure we deserve as much credit for that win as Cleveland deserves criticism for that loss.

I expected to win, but this was a lot closer than 23-10. Ugly win. Not leaving me confident.

That said a win is a win is a win.

Why is that....Dude, what is up with you being down on this team so. You sounding more and more like FINesse before his so called positive attitude change, and don't give me that being real thing.

It a win on the road against a young, developing team in Cleveland. Miami did not play well offensively, but won 23-10.

We were the underdog in a hostile environment on the road. Clutch win.

I call it an ugly win because Tannehill got sacked 4 times and the entire Dolphins team only had 20 yards rushing, and 3 of those yards were from Tannehill running for his life.

D. Thomas 8 rushes for 14 yards = 1.8 average
L. Miller 10 rushes for 3 yards = 0.3 average
R. Tannehill 5 rushes for 3 yards = 0.6 average

Pleasantly surprised with Clay and Nolan Carroll though.

Agreed that the running game performance is a big concern to me. 14 yards out of our leading rusher against a so-so team, doesn't give our next few opponents much to be concerned about. Expect Tannehill to be rushed hard, with little concern about our RBs until they prove a threat. To bad we don't still have bush.

I had a negative feeling after the first half but Tannehill, Hartline and the defense really stepped up in the 2nd half. That is exactly what we wanted to see.

The o-line is an issue but its not like they faced a scrub defense.

Everyone should feel pretty good about this win.

the running game will get better, That was a tough task against Cleveland. We've got a bunch of games against lesser defenses.

is anybody really scared of The Saints or Falcons or Ravens defenses? I'm not.
We only play against like 2 or 3 tough defenses the rest of the season, I like our outlook.

The run blocking was bad in the Pre Season, and it was a joke today. Tannehill has no weapons at TE over the middle.

The offense was bad today. 23 points is better than the unit actually played, especially given what the defense gave them.

The defense looks legit, but the Browns offense is also horrendous. I need to see them next week against Indy. Hopefully Patterson comes back from the groin for that one.

A lot of holes on this team. MAJOR major flaws.

No.

But I'm scared of needing to score 30, and not being able to against any defense.

If it wasn't for our defense balling out today, we barely crack 10 points.

The Falcons played like poop today. The Raiders almost beat the Colts. And the Ravens just look lost.
All in all we looked like one of the better teams in week 1.

Tannehill and the receivers produced against a very tough defense.

If the ground game actually provided even a 3 YPC average the offense would have scored more.

When the Cleveland defense know 90% of the time the ball is being thrown its not hard to line up their defense. I give Tannehill and the WRs a lot of credit for still engineering multiple scoring drives.

I also don't think all 3 of those teams are going to put up 30 points on Miami unless the offense is turning the ball over.

We can score on the Falcons and Saints, they arent much of a defensive challenge the way Cleveland was today. Miller will see better days. But I will say that next draft it's time to go heavy on the O-line. Get a guard and tackle early.

We looked as good today as any other team in the east. Although we were down at the half we dominated the play (in typical Dolphin fashion). It was a great win & other than Denver so far (I know its only week 1) there seems to be no world beaters yet. I love our chances. Next few weeks will tell the tale.

The browns are MUCH improved!!!

But giving up 4 sacks
and out running game was a joke.. all it did was put us at 2nd and long all day....

Shoort and mef passing game was solid but the long pass.. it was a mess...

I do think clay stepped up! That was good to see..

but I tend to agree.. our o-line/ Running ga,e combo.. not good!

And I also agree that was the closest 24-10 game I ever seen lol

I'd say Miami was one of the best 6 teams today, saw alot of bad football being played today.

Solid except for the face mask call towards the end..

penalties in the 2nd 1/2 were insane for both teams IMO

I heard Buffalo abused Brady today. What do you think we're gonna do to him it Buffalo was able to pressure him all day?

Cleveland is a lot tougher than people thought. They're better that our defense made them look. The running game is concerning but Cleveland had a top run D last year and it look as though they're even better. Richardson sub 50 yard day.
on side note, Reggie Bush had over 200yds of offense today....ouch. Just shows that they really misused him last year.

Highs - Wake is a complete animal. I'm sure he'll get a pee test after today's performance.
Rookie Kicker is money.
Defense survived the amped up first quarter and then dominated.
New secondary is balling...this defense might be something special.
New toy Wallace will get all kinds of negative press but kept single coverage on Hartline all day.

Negatives:
Running game
Pass protection - the Caveat here is Tannehill ran right into 2 sacks. If he backs up and gets outsie, he might have made more plays. His unwillingness to get out of the pocket is becoming more concerning.
Miller - blew chunks. On several runs he had a small crease for 2-3 yards and he decided to bounce outside and lose yardage. Thomas played a lot better and will deserve the start if Miller keeps making poor decisions.

Miami should Beat NE if the game were played today. His WRs were stuggling. He certainly is missing both his TEs.

Buffalo's Defense is playing hard. Their young QB is also playing well. He's got a nice touch on the deep ball. AFC East not as week as people thought?

So-so team? They were already a solid team against the run last year and they added that dude in the off-season...

You're crazy, PR. The running game was ugly, no doubt.

We dominated this game from the opening kickoff, it's just that the score didn't start to show it until the second half. We went and made the adjustments that needed to be made and won a game on the road handily. We were never in a position to lose this game.

An apology? LMFAO ..... ok Swerve, send your own for all the times you picked a Dolphin win when in fact they lost.

We beat the Browns. This wasn't a slight across the board in a Super Bowl matchup.

I think the running game will bounce back against a weak Colts front 7.

The Browns front 7 seemed to be legit... hard to tell considering its the first game of the year, but hell they shut down the run all day.

I'd say Miller and Thomas combine for 150 total yards and 2 scores next week.

When did I say he sucks? I'll apologize for my skepticism as soon as you get some patience in your perspectives. You want the whole world to kiss the feet of our players and our team after Week 1.

I'm sorry, did the season end? Was there a trophy won today?

Nah, what I hate is threads that are written like they're coming from 5 year olds .... as if the sporting public is NOT allowed to pick against the Dolphins, like it's some kind of sacrilege. Ohhhhmergerrd how dare they!

Only whining going on was coming from you as you were shining that brand new Dolphins/Browns Week 1 Super Bowl Trophy.

So it's a big deal?

I don't recall in my write up today saying that it was insignificant.
