Eagles want Dolphins No. 12 pick

We already have the first AFC East draft-day trade rumor.

ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, stationed in Philadelphia, reports the Eagles are talking to the Miami Dolphins about trading into their 12th slot.

Paolantonio adds the Eagles want to move up to grab a defensive player and speculates that prospect might be Texas safety Earl Thomas.

Meanwhile, I just arrived in the Buffalo Bills' media center, where I will be reporting throughout the draft. The Bills currently own the AFC East's top draft choice at No. 9.

Rumors of it have - yes. But he's on-site with them right now. Meaning they are still talking about it or could be close.

If we have to move all the way down to the Eagles pick I hope MULTIPLE picks are involved. Namely their 2nd and 3rd or 2nd and two 4th's.

I would do it for their 24th pick and there 37th Pick and the 6th pick in the 3rd. They still would have their own picks in rnds 2 and 3, that would be fantastic but unrealistic. I am getting real exicted only a couple more hours.

My dream would involve a situation where we trade down to 24, select Dez Bryant, and then hope a guy like Jerry Hughes slides to 37 where we could pick him. We could address safety in the third round with a guy like Major Wright or wait until later in the draft and get Myron Rolle. I think we can get a run stuffer late in the draft.

i think sergio kendal will be at 24. cam thomas in the 3rd. not sure what we should get in the second if we move down.

I think Philly will want to keep the 37th pick, but I will take 24th, 55th and what ever additional pick Miami can get.
