What would Coyle be mad about?
Was he trying to say they needed to go for it? Or was it just sick of his D being on the field & carrying the O?
Let's hope Coyle is saying "I told you so" about Philbin's offensive approach regularly putting the team in a bad position.
I think he was mad/upset we didn't go for the long field and chose to punt, but I forget what portion of the game that was in. It would have been a long field goal, and with Sturgis, I can't fault Philbin for wanting to punt.
We had a chance and the offense couldn't put the foot on the head of the snake and finish it off.
"IF" we had won this game, fans would still be complaining anyway, me included, but had we won, it could make the difference between getting in as a wild card or being a season killer.
We're at this point in the season where we're gonna need help, which I don't like.
Our record says who we are, and a 2-3 inconsistent team.
