Just wanted to update everyone where we stand on the forums.
First thing is I have cleared the forum cache folder and I would highly recommend that everyone do a hard refresh of the forums to make sure you have all the latest stuff loaded.

CHROME - Ctrl+Shift+R
FIREFOX - Ctrl+F5 or hold shift and click the refresh button
IE - Ctrl+F5 or hold control and click the refresh button

Below you can see what's left to do and what's already been done. You can follow my progress as I went along fixing and changing things. The parts lacking are graphical parts at this point and I will work on that as I have time. Everything should be functional and working properly at this point, if not, please PM me.

Size of chat room was made taller.
Size of Who Is in chat to match chatroom height.
New chat delete image for moderators/admins.
Old image set for new post / announcements etc uploaded temporarily.
Changed the who is online, statistics and birthday logos at the bottom w/ Phins logo. .
External links open in new window.
Took "new post" off of topics, only the reply button shows now.
Changed the text area border on post to aqua to match the quote boxes and make it stand out more.
Updated the "no_avatar" image to match forums better.
Chat icon updated to dolphins logo.
PM / Notification counts show in menu.

"Like" a post feature.

Some key updates you may be interested in is that you can now subscribe to certain post, be notified when someone replies or quotes you.

Lots of new features like that, just go to your user control panel and browse around. You can change what parts the board notifies you about and what you don't want notified about.

Forgot to address the "like" feature.

There is a concept behind not implementing this system. We are a forum, aka a discussion board. We didn't want people to get in the habit of feeling like they were on Facebook and simply "liking" a post and movig on. The idea behind this site is to get people involved and engage in conversation, not to simply "like" a post.

I love the Notifications feature. It's very handy. Keeps it so you don't miss anything said to you. These new features are very innovative and should keep the site going strong in the wake of social media. Excellent job Coots! Way to keep Phinfever relevant.
