Its supposed to be a showcase of all the talent in the NFL, however, the 2 most talented rosters (the superbowl teams) do not participate. Now, everyother talented player is not wanting to participate, which is completely understandable and a smart decision. Football is too physical of a sport to go out and risk your career playing in a meaningless game to entertain the fans and generate even more revenue for the welathiest sport in america. The vacation to Hawaai used to be the incentive that seemed to get players to go, now its just a trip to the superbowl town where a lot of players already live at and will be here regardless.

But with the Colts and Saints advancing to Super Bowl XLIV, also held at Sun Trust Stadium, the NFL had to fill the spots of 14 players.
