Like everyone agrees, it is Henning who blew it all.

I do not agree with that. It's everyone's fault. Henning's poor play calling, Sparano/Lee/Henning's game planning, Henne's throwing, receiver's dropped balls, poor running game, horrible defense, horrible special teams.

If you're going to bench Henne for poor play, you have to bench Fasano, Brown, Williams, Polite, Hartline, etc. I say let them play and fix what you (the coach) are doing...cuz it's not working.

Given the degenerative tone of the earlier discussion I don't want to be a part of that stuff.

Having seen Phin post good, clear thinking, evaluations before I am curious if this was just a first emotional reaction or if this is they way he really thinks about the team this year.

I really don't want to lose games, so take what I said with a grain of salt. The point I was driving at is that I have lost complete faith in this regime and that goes FAR beyond this one move. Obviously I feel strongly that they have erred in their judgment here. That being said, the only way this regime will be removed is if they fail. I think that we are seeing them fail all right, but if they are going to be gone this season, they are going to have to fail badly I'm thinking.
The only emotional reaction is that of absolute frustration over the stupid moves these guys have made, and the fact that they just sent a message to the best qb we've had since Marino and possibly Fiedler, that they don't trust him and have lost faith in him. Too me, this move has desperation written all over it.

FYI:

Pennington record as a starter for his career is 43-37. If passing accuracy wins games, then why is his record that close to 500?

He will get you some wins, but has never lead a team to the Championship game, much less the Super Bowl. What did he do when he lead Miami to the playoffs? Imploded with 4 Ints.

Good luck with this move Sparano. Hope it cost you your job.

Yep, passing accuracy doesn't win games, ask Henne.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't agree with your assesment but then that is what makes the boards interesting.

I think the best QB we have had since Marino is Pennington. Of course his being injury prone is a big drawback.

If they are desperate then what does thay say about Henne? It would seem that he is one of the ones making them that way at least in their thinking? Could it be a good coaching move?

I guess I am not as sold on Henne as others. I am thinking that the one who failed may already be out the door. I must confess I have never been a big Parcells fan.

I think the best QB since Marino ... & say what you want is Jay Fiedler. I understand the love affair with Pennington after 2008 but in reality he has played up until now like 19 regular season games & we saw what happened in the lone playoff game.

Back to topic .... I sure hope we find out that the problem is Henning & not Henne. But I cant imagine that a OC with that many years experience is truly the reason for our woes.
Also I have asked this before , doesnt Sparano as head coach have the final say on play calling & can he change a play that he does not agree with when it is called down from Henning??

You saw in the lone playoff game what happens when you ask Pennington to take over a game after the running game is halted and the Wildcat is figured out.

Pennington is a great QB to lead the offense when the ground game is chugging on all cylinders. He is not a QB who comes in and takes over games.
