Jason Taylor calls out S Reshad Jones
Barry Jackson wrote: ### Taylor challenged Reshad Jones, a likely starter at safety. “You can’t play, ‘I’m the young card’ forever,” Taylor said. “You’re a pro. Now it’s time to eliminate mistakes and be a leader.”
That includes things like “paying attention in meetings,” he said. Speaking about Jimmy Wilson’s move from cornerback to safety, Taylor said, “We all know he can play.” Read more here: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-b ... rylink=cpy

I remember being at a press confereance last year with Mitch and Tony said Jones would be the breakout player. We looked at each and said "what?" He sucks... and he does. Good for JT.

Re: Jason Taylor calls out S Reshad Jones
I think it was time to move on from Bell, he was great in the box but a liability against tight ends and the pass down field. Jones has all the tools and now he just needs to step it up and use the field awareness in games that he now supposedly getting down well in practices.
I have read where the coaches have seen him come along way from last season. Let's hope he is our next Ed Reed as that would be huge for one of our safeties to become a star in this league.

Speaking of Ed Reed, he may become available . Jason Taylor shouldn't be shooting his mouth off to much..He was on the field for many epic failures himself..Not exactly known for winning

Re: Jason Taylor calls out S Reshad Jones
Iowa, who would you rather see Jones turn into as a player for the Dolphins?
My comment was a figure of speech and a hope that he becomes a star for the Fins.
It wasn't literally comparing his skills to Reeds........

Re: Jason Taylor calls out S Reshad Jones
Our defense is known for having a strong front seven, our secondary is more potential than production at this point. We need the entire secondary to step up. That means everyone.

Pretty sure our offense wasnt pretty on that 62-7 loss... But your right, defense gave up alot of points.... And they really blew it on the Monday night game... However JT was one of the best at his position through his career, his stats, awards and so on speak for themselves. We boasted a top 10 defense most of the years he played here, we were actually a top 5 defense the year we got toasted 62-7... So JT played a part in us getting to that game.... He has played with Jones, and I do not think he was disrespecting him, he is trying to encourage him.

Spoken like a fan who has been let down by having high expectations.... Im with you... I just hope the kid takes the next step and we do not have to wonder about that position for some years...

Man that 62-7 game. There is even a you tube video that someone made of it. All I remember is being down by 41 & Orande Gadsen celebrating a TD.
