 OT: Good for Chad Henne
I'm happy for him, but even happier for our situation. Tannehill is going to be good. Quote: Good for Chad Henne. He had his best day as a pro. The ex-Dolphin threw for four touchdowns and 365 yards in Jacksonville’s overtime loss to Houston. Expect to hear some fans question why the Dolphins ever let him go in three … two … one …. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miam ... 4212.story

The Jags just put Gabbert on IR so Henne will be playing against Miami.

Oh boy, you know what that means for us cursed Dolphin fans. Henne will throw for 450 yards and 5 touchdowns now!

Re: OT: Good for Chad Henne
If Henne is able to succeed this year with Jacksonville, then that is perhaps the most damning piece of evidence that Sparano and his staff were failures as player developers. Many of us speculated for years that they were ruining Henne and that he should have been learning at a faster pace than he was.
But if I had to guess, I expect him to come crashing back down to earth and start back into his old ways. I don't know who the Jags are playing this week, but I expect to see a pick or two.

It would be nice to see RT get better as the season progress. People forget Henne had a 90 QB rating before his injury last year and there was more than 1 post saying losing wasn't his fault. BMarsh had pretty much poisoned the well with Henne. If there's one thing this will highlight is we need to have patience with RT

Re: OT: Good for Chad Henne
Yeah, reality was that Miami wasn't going anywhere far with Henne at the helms. We just have to hope that with patience that by year 3 Tannehill is our QB leading us to the Superbowl. I agree it will take time. It did for Aikman and Steve Young, problem is we Dolphin fans have been displaced for so long, we want instant gratification.

I just think it's freaking hilarious that things worked out to where Henne would be facing us. You have to think that guy is salivating at the idea of showing up the team and the fan base. This definitely feels like Culpepper v.2 .....
If the Jags march into Miami and beat us, it's going to get ugly next week in the media.

I wish Henne the best & hope he had a long successful career. He was snake bit in Miami. Never have I seen so many things that could go wrong, go wrong.

Bet the house WK. Every QB that we ran out of town did nothing. Yeah C-Pep beat us, big deal, that was it. Go down the list of failures.

Yep, I agree. Yeah, no way he keeps this up, not in Jacksonville. But I agree with Rock Sexton, if he comes into Miami and beats us, the media will be beating us up for a little while. You'll probably get a silly fan or two that thinks we should have kept the guy.

Re: OT: Good for Chad Henne
I thought Henne had a good start last year before his injury. I've always felt he had the tools to be a good quarterback in this league, but let's face it ... he has taken way too long to develop. When it comes down to it I put the failure on Henne. The Dolphins were patient with him and tried to surround him with an offensive line (a lot of first round picks here), a game breaking receiver (Brandon Marshall), and home run threat at running back (Bush). I think the injury took away a good season from him last year. The Dolphins had to go in a different direction this year, and I don't blame them at all.
As far as Jacksonville, I was shocked that he could not beat out Blaine Gabbart for the starting job, but maybe it took him time to learn the offense. Hopefully he can continue to improve. Will he? I'm not sure as he's always underachieved. I think he will always be a good #2 quarterback, but I hope for the best for him. He was a class act for us.

Chad will be the guy who humiliates the Phins this year. They put Gabbert on IR. I still think Henne stinks, but our secondary is awful.

After that no one was willing to give him the chance. Minds were made up & people were done. Some of the blame falls on Henne, some on the O. No need to tear him down. He had a great game last week. Wish him the best & move on.

Congrats to Chad!
He is possibly the best backup QB in the league (even better than Sanchez). But he won't continue to put up superstar numbers, much less decent starter numbers

But I agree, no one will believe in Henne until he does it over the course of a season. That was a huge part of the frustration with Chad here in Miami - he'd have a couple of good games followed by a string of duds.
