[not so much a minority owner. Linebacker or asst. linebacker coach, one hell of an idea. But they probably won't. Kinda like I always wanted Marino as the QB coach.
Not really...Marino was never a student of the game...just naturally great. Zach Thomas has worked his butt off, and study tape and the game like no other.
I guess when someone on the offense messed up an assignment and Marino walked over to them to let them know they messed it up he was just guessing?
How does that make him a student of the game? Players, coaches and Marino himself have said that he would yell at everyone because of his desire to win and because he knew he didn't screw up, it was always the other guy.
Bill Walsh asked Marino how he did it, what his first read was, where his checks were and Marino said "I just hit the open guy." I don't remember what show it was, but Marino said he was never a student of the game, coaches said he couldn't draw up any new plays for you but he'd beat you everytime.
He didn't study that much tape, he just lined up and beat you with his arm.
