Dolphins WRs Hartline, Bess both miss practice (BESS OUT)
Fins' Brian Hartline misses practice Quote: DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins could be without both starting receivers Sunday against Buffalo.
Brian Hartline and Davone Bess, who have combined for nearly half of Miami's receptions, missed practice Thursday with back injuries.
Bess sat out Sunday's win over Jacksonville, and Hartline was hurt in that game.
If neither plays, quarterback Ryan Tannehill's options at wide receiver will be Marlon Moore, rookie Rishard Matthews, newcomer Armon Binns and converted running back Marcus Thigpen. The foursome has combined for 13 catches with the Dolphins this year. Could things get any worse for our passing game???

I predict a heavy dose of Reggie and Lamar. Along with some read option running from RT.

Moore & Matthews, one would think they are extremely excited and this is their chance to step up and shine. If Egnew is activated, I am predicting a seam pass down the middle for him and for a touchdown!

I predict a lot of two tightend sets with Fasano and Mastrud, as well as a lot of two and three back sets. We may not be deep at receiver, but we've still got three runningbacks who are capable of running a route. Meanwhile, like you said, the chance doesn't get any better for Moore and Matthews this week if Bess and Hartline aren't playing. Same goes for Binns, he'll likely see more playing time than he rightfully should. Does anyone know if we're planning on calling someone up from the practice squad like Fuller? This would be the perfect opportunity considering our dire situation.

Thank god, things were getting pretty ugly pretty quick. Our wideout group is bad enough. Take Bess out of the mix and it's even worse. Take away Hartline and it's downright ugly. I was afraid we were going to have to call up someone from the practice squad.

Re: Dolphins WRs Hartline, Bess both miss practice
Here is the final injury report for this weeks game:
OUT K Dan Carpenter (right groin) placed on IR WR Davone Bess (back) did not practice LB Koa Misi (ankle) did not practice
DOUBTFUL None
QUESTIONABLE DT Randy Starks (non-football) did not practice WR Brian Hartline (back) was limited CB Nolan Carroll (knee) was limited TE Jeron Mastrud (hamstring) was limited
PROBABLE WR Armon Binns (ankle) practiced in full S Chris Clemons (neck/ribs) practiced in full LB Karlos Dansby (biceps) practiced in full DE Derrick Shelby (groin) practiced in full S Jimmy Wilson (hip) practiced in full
I don't know if we're planning on starting Hartline or not. If he's truly in bad shape, we should consider calling someone up from the practice squad just in case. We'll need another receiver if Hartline should get re-injured during the game. Back injuries are a tricky thing.
We might possibly see a Egnew sighting in this game considering Clay is out for the season and Mastrud has a hammy. That leaves only Fasano and Egnew left. Fasano can't play ever snap. So either we're going to play an injured Mastrud, or give Egnew a look.
