Just saw on twitter that he thanked Miami for hosting him last night. I know the visit doesn't mean he's a target but he certainly could be a 2nd round option.

Would be happy taking him in the 2nd rd.

He a big, talented TE. Very productive in the Red Zone.

Sims is a great blocker and has shown flashes that he can be productive in the redzone, Egnew has shown very little of anything, and Clay has been very productive but appears to be a more natural fit at FB. I'd love to see Miami draft another tightend so that we could move Clay into the backfield and move him around more to create mismatches.

As far as second round choices, I like either Seferian-Jenkins or Niklaus. Personally, I'm a much bigger fan of Niklaus. He's a big physical tightend that has soft hands and solid leaping ability. Is he going to be a seam threat like Jimmy Graham, no. But he does project to be a nice security blanket that is excellent at blocking, an Anthony Fasano type player with more upside. Not only that, but Niklaus has more versatility than any other tightend in the draft. He's spent time split out wide, in the backfield as an h-back, and as a third tackle in pass protection. In addition, he's the nephew of Bruce Matthews. I know some people don't put stock in stuff like this, but look around the league and tell me that talent doesn't run in the family in some cases.

The dream draft for me is one where we can somehow get Taylor Lewan in the 1st and Troy Niklaus in the 2nd. If we were able to make that happen, I'd be very happy because I feel both players could start and make an impact right away.

Sims hasn't shown endzone flashes. It was one game with a fluke one-handed grab.
