I didn't have a feed, so, I couldn't watch it. Times like this makes me wish I lived in South Florida. From everything I've read, it was a typical first preseason game. I think my initial impression is that our cornerbacks got picked on, our interior defensive line did not play well, and we are still committing the stupid penalties.
I was surprised to see that our veteran RT was called for holding on the very first series. Seriously?

OT Ja’Wuan James: Was called for holding on the first series, stalling what had been a promising drive. Think it’s harsh to downgrade him based on that? Maybe it’s time the Dolphins start dealing with penalties in a harsh fashion.https://www.palmbeachpost.com/events/sp ... pJyTEbWEL/
I watched the offensive highlights. David Fales looks to be a lock to win the backup job even though Coach Gase said that the competition will be throughout all preseason. I'd like to see us whittle it down to 3 this week so that the other two can get more reps. Osweiler looks like he will be retiring if he cannot play better as no one but the CFL will want him. By looking at the highlights, Tannehill was mostly good, but had two passes that were off-target. Close, but you don't win games by being "close". I would say it is rust, and every quarterback has passes that they want back. He looked fine when he rolled out, so, I'd say he is healthy and his body is ready for the NFL.

I wasn’t thrilled with Ryan Tannehill. I’m reading elsewhere that he was sharp in his first outing in 600-plus days after his 2016 knee injury. Well, he had moments when he was sharp. He started 3-for-3 and had the Dolphins moving with two first downs the game’s first three plays. But on second-and-eight from the Tampa Bay 35 yard line, Tannehill had Danny Amendola wide open crossing the field for a long gain. And Tannehill threw it too wide. A diving Amendola could not make the grab. Next play, a quick toss to running back Kalen Ballage to pick up the first down was also off target. Tannehill was rusty. And I get it, he hasn’t played a game in a long time. But he doesn’t get graded on a curve for missing time. He’s not six-years-old and vying for a participation award. He was 4 of 6 for 32 yards. His QB rating was 79.9. He needs to get better. And he needs to get his offense in the end zone.

Pass protection was good for the starters, although they looked to be quick drop backs. I love this quote from Coach Gase:
