Dan Jamroz, Phinfever, Miami Dolphins, Blog, Draft, MockMost of the major transactions are over so teams are reassessing needs and putting the finishing touches on their pre-draft rosters.  Miami made some quiet moves to bolster their roster, and spent a good amount on retaining their own.  The most glaring needs are at guard and linebacker, followed by defensive end, safety and defensive tackle.  Miami will need to get some young legs who can eventually succeed their aging veterans.  It remains to be seen if another trade is on the horizon, and I would not doubt for a second that Mike Tannenbaum will be looking to move down from the 22nd pick in Round 1 to acquire more assets.

Here is my current prediction for Round 1:

1. Cleveland - Myles Garrett  DE - Take the best player, don't think twice.

2. San Francisco - Solomoan Thomas  DE - Create a dominant defensive line to take pressure off of a brand new offense.

3. Chicago - Jamal Adams  S - Get an alpha leader and playmaker to counter Aaron Rodgers and Matt Stafford in the division.

4. Jacksonville - Leornard Fournette  RB - They grab their new featured weapon.

5. **Trade** Cleveland - Mitch Trubisky  QB

       - Cleveland sends Picks 12 and 33 to Tennessee to acquire Pick 5

       - Rumors are circulating that Cleveland loves a QB and doesn't expect him to make it past New York.

6. New York (J) - Malik Hooker  S - The Jets' secondary really needs someone to be a field general.

7. Los Angeles (C) - Mike Williams  WR - Rivers needs a guy who can make contested catches and score touchdowns.

8. Carolina - Jonathan Allen  DE - Despite some shoulder concerns, Carolina can't pass this guy up as a successor to their defensive ends.

9. Cincinnati - Reuben Foster  LB - The human missile should not fall this far and Cincy gets a steal.

10. Buffalo - Marshon Lattimore  CB - Stephon who?  Top 5 talent and shutdown cornerback for the new defense.

11. New Orleans - Derek Barnett  DE - Productive and a high motor guy to pair with Cameron Jordan.

12. Tennessee - OJ Howard  TE - Immediately upgrades the passing and running game, also gives Mariota a legit Red Zone target.

13. Arizona - Marlon Humphrey  CB - Patrick Peterson needs some help on the other boundary and Humphrey makes plays.

14. Philadelphia - Gareon Conley  CB - They spent big in free agency on offense so now the secondary gets a much needed talent infusion.

15. Indianapolis - Forrest Lamp  OG - May seem early for a guard but the Colts desperately need to keep Luck upright and give Gore running room.

16. Baltimore - Garrett Bolles  OT - Baltimore depleted its offensive line and almost forced this as a need pick, but I doubt they will regret his talent.

17. Washington - Zach Cunningham  LB - I'm thinking he'll soon be known as The Beast of the NFC East

18. Tennessee - John Ross  WR - Big target drafted earlier and now the speed demon their offense sorely lacks.

19. Tampa Bay - Jabril Peppers  S - A suddenly scary looking front seven will give him all the room he needs to fly across the field making plays.

20. Denver - Christian McCaffrey  RB - The family legacy is coming home to unleash some offensive damage on the AFC West.

21. Detroit - Taco Charlton  DE - Brings immediate pass rush help and will benefit from teams trying to shut down Ziggy Ansah.

22. Miami - Haason Reddick  LB

        - This is a great pick for Miami (BPA+Need) and the closer we get to draft day the less likely it may become.  Reddick is not a seasoned linebacker but brings

the experience of both a cornerback and defensive end.  He was outstanding at the Senior Bowl in linebacker drills and backed it up with great

Combine numbers.  He looks the part of a three down player who can drop into coverage in nickel packages with Kiko Alonso.  I'm a little concerned

that Indianapolis or Baltimore may look at him as BPA and pull trigger.  For now Miami gets their man.

23. New York (G) -  Takkarist McKinley  DE - Jason Pierre Paul plays one more year while the raw McKinley is groomed behind him to become a dominant pass rusher.

24. Oakland - Chidobe Awuzie  CB - A four year starter who can handle both the boundary and the slot, he helps replace draft bust DJ Hayden.

25. Houston - Fabian Moreau  CB - Finally getting the hype he deserves in draft circles, the Texans find an AJ Buoye replacement without reaching for a quarterback.

26. Seattle - Corey Davis  WR - Injury concerns force him to slide, so the Seahawks gamble on a top 15 talent who can grow into an alpha receiver role.

27. Kansas City - Dalvin Cook  RB - Andy Reid gambles on character concerns to find a playmaker who can replace Jamaal Charles.

28. Dallas - Charles Harris  DE - Dallas gets some much needed pass rush help and this guy brings a high motor.

29. Green Bay - Quincy Wilson  CB - The cornerback run continues as Green Bay looks to improve on its young, underwhelming cornerback group.

30. Pittsburgh - Raekwon McMillan  LB - Just seems like a great replacement for Lawrence Timmons and he eased concerns about his speed at the Combine.

31. Atlanta - Malik McDowell  DT - BPA who's maturity issues and questionable motor drop him out of top 15 contention, and into Dan Quinn's defense.

32. New Orleans - TreDavious White  CB - If the Saints acquire Malcom Butler this pick may go back to New England, but for now they get a solid corner.
