ahhh.....forget OL, you couldn’t have watched actual games because your comment about Hunt elsewhere couldn’t be further from the truth....in this draft they need Harris and Jalean Phillips out of the first round...both must get....Phillips is a play maker, difference maker, all out motor, I liken him to TJ Watt.....and Harris is needed, badly, a RB that can make the tough yards on his own, and is good receiver.....Miami can find WRs in the 2nd and 3rd, the position is deep, not the popular, worn out names, but if you check the recent NFL WR FA group several were 2nd and 3rd round picks. Miami already got Fuller and they have a fairly productive TE that cost them a premium pick, don’t bury him in the playbook, use him.... get what you don’t have. RB and an impact edge, four down guy.
Getting another ’22 first rounder would be nice to have, if anything to help get Watson if he becomes available, but not at the expense of missing players that will make an immediate impact on this roster...bottom line, Grier can’t afford any more mistakes nor making poor choices with those pics.
What, you want to take Harris at #6 and Phillips at #18? You are NUTs.
I wasn't planning on taking Slater at #18, but if he falls that far, they just need to take him. Many predict him to go in the top 10. Just like when Tunsil fell to 13. The Dolphins hadn't been thinking OL at #13 initially, but they were smart to take him when he dropped.
I'd be fine with taking Harris at 18. There are a lot of good edge rushers and one of them will be available at #36, maybe even Phillips.
Yes, there are some other good receivers, but they are not in the same class as Chase, Smith, and Waddle (and Pitts). We are taking one of those four, or possibly Sewell, with our first pick. Mark it down. Fuller will only be here one year. Either he stinks, and we don't want him back, or he has a very good year and then wants $15 million per year, which we can't afford. Build through the draft, taking "must need" guys like you mentioned above.
