Doesn't matter. Ross oozes incompetence.

I don’t blame the guy. This franchise is tragic dumpster fire. At least NY is good for a super bowl a decade.

Why all the negativity? That isn't welcome on this board!

Yep, you can't blame Daboll for going to the Giants and there are a couple of reasons which stand straight out. One is that he has a relationship with new GM Joe Schoen and he has freedom to keep whomever he wants and fire whomever he wants with his coaching staff. That being said, I am sure that he could have made changes to the Dolphins defensive coaching staff if he wanted to. I am disappointed as he was the top coach whom I wanted from those who interviewed.

:))

Heck, our best threads are back and forth arguments. They go on forever.

BTW, are our Dolphins decision-makers on a break or something or is Mike McDaniel the guy we've wanted all along as the next young offensive guru? I'm actually excited about the possibility of McDaniel, but he is a mystery right now.

A couple decades of losing, 20 quarterbacks, 11 coaches… after twenty years of that… tell me why I should be excited.

Hey, there is always hope. The late great Tom Eddie (T-Rock) used to say that a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then (or something like that).

Pretty much the mindset that I am seeing on twitter. From what I understand, Tua isn't promised anything beyond 2022 as the Dolphins have two first round picks in 2023 if they need to reboot the QB position in the draft ... or grab someone in free agency.

We don't know anything about these coaches, Daboll is likely to fail in NY..........just like the others that came before him.

Ha! I should go up there right now and check your "glass". I'm worried it's bone dry and you're sitting there staring at it in shock. I'm not implying that Daboll or any of a 100 candidates can help fill it, but as Hal Habib points out below the fixin' has to start from the top. Ross unfortunately stopped just short, again.

This from Hal Habib of the PB Post...

Quote:
If this were a number of the NFL's elite organizations — or if this were Pat Riley and the Miami Heat — they’d get the benefit of the doubt. The Dolphins? Sorry.

They haven’t even achieved the state Chris Grier promised they’d reach the day he became general manager: the end of the dysfunction.

None of us know now who will end up being the best hire. Last year during free agency there were threads upon threads talking about why we took Fuller instead of some other WR. As it turned out, ALL of the big name WR free agency signings were busts, so it wouldn't have mattered who we took. It may turn out that none of these new HC's work out, or it may turn out that we got the next young mastermind.

We don't know poop. Time will tell. Like Dave said, we have hope.

Now you sound like Carreramia! I'm pretty sure you ripped him pretty badly for saying stuff like that!

I think you are extremely confused or day drunk. I ripped that guy for supporting a rapist, sex offender that has 22 cases against him… I mean… suspected sex offender, rapist, sexual predator… and wanting him to be our QB.

I also ripped him for being on a Dolphins fan board and cheering on the Packers.

You must be day drunk.

OK ... Its an opinion. This after all is a board for those. Nobody here is the GM. I know opinions are not welcomed here but at times we really need to lighten up.
(And Tom Garfinkle told me).

I'm definitely not day drunk, so I must be confused. I thought you ripped him for being so negative about the Dolphins. If that isn't the case, then I apologize. We've pretty much all ripped him for wanting Watson, so I doubt that would have stood out to me!

In my experience, opinions are welcome until the same one is hammered redundantly onto every thread. Then they're less welcome because they're just tiresome and annoying. You're not wrong about lightening up though. I just wondered why you reached the conclusion that our remaining candidates will just be Grier "Yes Men" when it looks to me like Ross is pulling a power play in not letting Grier hire his buddy VJ.
