Thanks IamPZ, yeah I hit it hard last spring with a crash diet, then followed through with a low cal low carb food plan. Been good, even with the wedding/honeymoon I stayed within my avg weight... Somehow lol..

Not this trip, but that is how I was first introduced. We were just there for the wedding this time, and they did a fantastic job all around. Had the ceremony at the twin palms behind the sunset village.

We had one small billing mishap, and a manager with an attitude that ended with my wife and mother rather upset, and us with 2 free nights anytime we want in the next year.
I would not let that incident detour me from going again or highly recommending the place, all the people we dealt with, wedding planners, staff and even sub contractors were all top notch service. Guess the manager was having a bad day and ran into the wrong 2 Itallian/Irish women at the wrong time.. LOL

Had a great trip (3 days in Hawks Cay, and a 8 Day Eastern cruise), but was ready to get back to the routine today..

Where do you live in Maryland? I lived in Baltimore for year with my Grandmother when my dad went to 'nam. In fact, that was the year that the BALTIMORE Colts won the Super Bowl. We moved to Key West right after that. I'm still a huge O's fan.

I live in Gaithersburg, MD. 20 minutes north of D.C.

Props 10acjed. I was at 318 lbs back in 2011, and I am now down to 245 lbs. My goal is 200 lbs. Not been as discipline in my eating habits, but have gotten a lot better. Playing Tennis once a week and my Bowflex for strength training 3-4 times a week. I have the Bowflex dumbells as well. Can't quite do as much as I would like to as I have bone on bone in my left knee and the right one is getting to that point. I do squats, but they are just body squats.

I tried HCG when I first started, was very tough to do. 600 cal a day, was ok except when I had to do physical work, then I felt it. Luckily I work with friends, so they were supportive and helped out.
After that 6 weeks I lost about 40 lb, and I cut down to about 1200 - 1500 cal a day diet and have stuck to it (most of the time). I eat as soon as I get up even if not hungry to get the body working, usually a banana or all natural breakfast bar.
I try to eat periodically through the day, around 8 - 9, light lunch salad, or get grilled chiken/fish with veggies if I go out. Dinner is typically meat/fish/chicken, either grilled or broiled, then steamed veggies.
I have accepted hunger as a substitue for the way I felt both physically and mentally from the excess weight. I still want to eat, but I also like seeing my toes and winkie lmao...

I highly recommend researching the foods you eat, we are duped with the "Natural" and "Organic" labeling, a lot of those products are not 100% natural, yet out gov feels its ok to label that way.

I have been trying to get back into a workout routine, just lazy.

WOW.....600 calories a day. Right now I am doing 1000-1400 calories a day. As I have said, not nearly as discipline as I should be, but I have REALLY cut down on the fried foods. About every 3-4 weeks I will go and get me some fried talapia or catfish with shrimp. The biggest area is as for all men, the DAMN gut. I have gone from a 46 to a 40 though, so I now I am making progress.

Here is a more up-to-date picture of the aging "Big Dave". The days of hair staining are over as I've embraced the gray.

Me and my new Wolfdog puppy Dex hiking up 5,000ft Mt. Willie in New Hampshire last July.

Image

At my sister's graduation a few years ago. My hair was outta control.

Image

Hanging out with Dex's father the year before Dex was born. His dad is 67% gray wolf and GSD. Beautiful animal.

I don't know why the pics turned out so *****. Photobucket only takes me to my library when I click the upload icon so I had to use some random bootleg site that converts photos into URLs.

Edit: These turned out way too small. Anyone know why I can't upload on photobucket? The upload icon just takes me to my library and I have uploaded a few times before so it shouldn't be full.

From FL to Canada. I have a few more from in-between.

Before I signed on to the site I remember reading about a few other members that liked to talk fishing. Any chance for a dedicated fishing page, Dave?

I wish I could find the couple of pics I had with Tone and I in Miami. That was before Iphone's...

Thank you. I've been going to NH at least once a year my entire life. I have family up there. My grandpa has an island on Lake Winniepesaukee that has been the family summer place since I was born in '94. He only lives there summer and fall because the island is uninhabitable in winter so he goes back to Dallas.

My grandma (divorced from grandpa) lives in a big cabin out in Meredith on the same lake yearround so we get to go there winters too. Can't wait to get there for Christmas and take the mutt snow shoeing.

That looks really beautiful. I have been going to Colorado for so many years that I need to expand my horizons and visit some of the east coast beauty. I was born and raised on Long Island and never even went upstate NY, which has mountain beauty up that way too. NH is certainly on my list and I can only imagine the serenity that your grandparents experience living in such scenic beauty and so good for you that you get access to go visit and enjoy all that.

Do people still use photobucket? It's trash now. Infested with pop up ads and forced links to scam sites.

Well Colorado is certainly it's own beast. New Hampshire is a great kept secret, thankfully not too touristy but I'm sure Colorado has more to offer. You don't get too many open land or valleys in NH, it's pretty much all compact mountain ranges so it can be difficult to navigate. My father is originally from Long Island. He stayed in Miami after he went to The U in the early 80s. My sister is alumni as well.

I'm the bad kid in the family so I never came close to going there. Hated school. Going to Paris Island with the Marines next year. That suits me more and makes me much happier than becoming an office zombie for the next 40 years of my life.
